Proving once and for all that is all about the actors skill that matters. Not necessarily there background or experience. Professionally they have represented an incredibly powerful gay couple with intensity and truth. In reality at least in this interview putting out straight energy in the megawatt range .

Before the haters come after me I'm gay and disabled so I know quite a lot about being in the minority. I believe in true equality – with hiring the right person for the job regardless any factors that includes positive discrimination I want to get a job because I'm the right person for it not because I have one particular facet of my makeup is it makes it acceptable.
I believe that any regardless of sexual orientation should go for any role they want and if they can successfully pull it off that should be all that matters. Exclusively hiring gay or transgender actors 4 equivalent parts can only lead to long-term toxicity and and the us abd them thing we should be fighting …..
though of course they can go for those rolls and if they're the best actor that auditioned and they should definitely get it equally a transgender actor should be able to go for or an on transgender or gay part if they're the best person for the job they should get hired equality means equality not special treatment
I get that it's hard but I think healing for true equality would actually need for more parts for everybody people insisting that only people with the relevant experience and represent somebody kind of goes against the whole point of acting it helps but is not essential everyone said heartbreak everyone split up with their partners when they thought they were forever love and emotion are universal you just gotta find the right people to be able to tap into that. Is that do I have to be gay but you wanted to play a straight surfer dude if he can pull off (meaning act the role well) the straight surfer dude then give it to him
